Register before Aug. 1 to ensure service on the first day of school. Registrations received after Aug. 1 may not be processed until after Sept. 18 and will experience delays of two to three weeks before they can ride the bus.

Literacy Support

Literacy is a fundamental human right and the basis for any individual's ability to learn. Literacy skills allow students to seek out information, explore subjects in-depth and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. At École Edwards, we believe that all students can become literate. We believe that we need to educate all students to proficiency and beyond to prepare them for success and become responsible citizens. Our goal is to instill a joy of reading and writing in our students, using authentic and meaningful practices. We will provide our students with research-based instructional practices, use a common, high-quality, balanced assessment system, and a tiered system of support for all students.

  • Teachers continue to use our Edwards Literacy Framework to ensure that their literacy practice aligns with current research-based practices that support student growth in Literacy
  • We continue to understand and develop our skills for using the data collected from running records and phonological assessments to ensure we are targeting specific lagging skills in our students
