Physical Literacy is more than simply ensuring our students are healthy. The earlier children are introduced to a variety of physical movements, the better their physical literacy will be and the more they will seize on opportunities for fun and activity.
Support include:
- Understanding student physical abilities and milestones based on age
- Exposing to a wide variety of equipment, types of movement, outdoor play, and sports opportunities
- Targeted programming to support students based on abilities, interests, and tailored to weather
Benefits for Students
Studies show kids with high physical literacy have:
- better self-esteem
- reduced risk for diabetes
- higher test scores and
- more stable moods
